- Provide warm, responsive, and nurturing care for infants
- Follow individual feeding, sleeping, diapering, and care routines
- Create engaging experiences through tummy time, sensory play, books, music, movement, and outdoor play
- Support infants as they reach important developmental milestones
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Record bottles, meals, diapers, naps, activities, and daily updates
- Communicate professionally and positively with families
- Maintain active supervision and follow all safety, ratio, safe sleep, and licensing requirements
- Work closely with co-teachers, support staff, and school leadership
- At least 19 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Patience, empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift and carry infants and remain active throughout the day
- Ability to meet Alabama childcare licensing and background-check requirements
- Willingness to complete required training and professional development
- Previous experience working with infants in a childcare center, daycare, preschool, nursery, or early learning program
- Child Development Associate credential
- Degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
- Knowledge of infant development and safe sleep practices
